Literary Club of BVB has conducted various writing competitions during the academic year 2015-16 ie essay writing, versification, story writing etc in various languages. Talks of eminent personalities were arranged (talk by Sri. Ezhumattoor Raja Raja Varma, Vice Chairman BVB, subject expert and educationist, talk by Shri. Siva Kumar official language expert Govt. of Kerala) . As per the circular from CBSE the Literary Club had Observed Vigilance Awareness Week during the month of October and had conducted various competitions in different categories and awarded prizes and trophies to the best performers. ” Awareness on Child Abuse” a talk by Mr Jobi Kondoor was also arranged under the auspices of the Literary Club. Inspirational quotes related to life and Literature were stuck on the wall.
Readers Club and Reading week was inaugurated on 19th July 2015 by Shri. Prem C Nair (Hon. Secretary, BVB Thiruvananthapuram Kendra). He highlighted the importance of reading. Reading week was celebrated with various competitions.
On 23rd November 2015, the club arranged a talk on the topic Malayala Bhashayum Sahityavum by our Vice Chairman Shri. Ezhumattoor Raja Raja Varma.
On 27th November, Shri. Siva Kumar (official language expert Govt. of Kerala) made a lecture on the topic “Importance of Malayalam language”.
