Combating Desertification Day was observed on 16-06-2018. The guests of the day were Smt. Uma Thrideep, a teacher of Idavilakom Govt. School and Sri. Jayakumar Pallipuram, Mathrubhumi SEED co-ordinator. A seminar was conducted  on ‘Day againt Desertification’

Merit day  was celebrated to honour our bright sparks of std X and XII. The chief guest of the day was Dr. Shashi Tharoor, MP Loksabha. An interactive session  by the chief guest was also held with the children.

World Ocean Day was celebrated on 08-06-2018. Dr. Rajesh Regunath, Coordinator, International and Inter University Centre for Natural Resources Management conducted a seminar on ‘Save Water Save Life ‘Sri. Pallipuram Jayakumar, Mathrubhumi SEED Co-ordinator was also the guest of honour. 25 green volunteers were selected and they took a pledge to save environment.

World Environment day was celebrated on 05-06-2018. Dr. V Subhash Chandra Bose, Scientist, Kerala State Remote Sensing and Environment Centre inaugurated the Environment day celebrations. Saplings were planted and various competitions were held. :Poster making, Painting and Inter class quiz were held

The Social Service Club of our school got rare opportunity to play a constructive roli in the making of a documentary which reflects the fulfillment  of the first phase of  the Kerala State  Government’s  coveted  project ‘Life Mission’-building homes for the homeless. Annual school magazine – BHAVANA was released on March 26th by Dr. Ganga Devi, Former Principal, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Manvila  and  faculty, IISER, Vithura. A talk on World Forestry Day was held by Dr Ganga Devi  for the students with a view to create an awareness on importance of preserving nature.
